Hi, Ralph Circelli here, and if you don’t have a clue as to who I am other than the fact that I’m associated with Monetized Clicks, that’s OK.

To be perfectly honest, I own MonetizedClicks.com.

But why should that make a difference to you?

Perhaps I should explain.

You see, I’ve gotten to where I am by trial and error.

I guess you could say I’m a serial entrepreneur.

That’s the best description I have of what I am and of what I’ve done with my life.

It was back in 1978 that I bought a franchise for a Carvel Ice Cream store.

I was 20 years old and convinced that I was going to make myself a small fortune.

Well, it was a living (if not a fortune) and I was good at what I did! Good enough that after just four years I was asked to sit on the Board of Governors of Carvel Corporation, and there I stayed for seven years until 1989 when I sold my store and stepped down from the Board.

Yes, I could have stayed, but the move made sense at the time. You see, I’d been bitten by the 1990’s stock market fever bug where I immersed myself in the glory of stock trading until I was overcome with the urge to open a restaurant in midtown Manhattan; an enterprise that lasted for twelve years until in 2007. I sold it and went off on the search for my next entrepreneurial adventure.

By now I had been in business long enough to know a few things; like what I wanted out of a business, and what things I wanted to avoid.

The things I wanted to avoid were the easiest to define; things like

• high overhead, $200 per square foot plus taxes in midtown Manhattan,

• high labor cost,

• low margin products

• geographical limitations

were all high on my list of things to avoid .

Most importantly, however, I knew that being just one person, I didn’t want a business where I was limited to the amount of money that I could make in a 60 or even 80 hour workweek.

But I didn’t just have a fix on what I didn’t want.

I also knew what I was looking for in a business, and it was an image that burned very bright in my mind’s eye.

• I knew that I wanted the business to be scalable.

• I knew that I wanted it to be in an industry that was experiencing a growth curve

• A business where I could actually make a difference in the world; where my work would mean that other people could benefit and that their lives could be enriched because of what I did.

I started thinking about EBay and what product would sell well and could be drop shipped, and since I always liked technology anyway.

Off I went doing my research to see what it was all about and what the potential was.

I looked at drop shippers, jewelry etc., but there was just one problem; it seemed to me that the vast majority of those involved in this business were not making substantial sums of money.

Also you really had to put a lot of time in behind the scenes to run a store or auction right.

While continuing to do research online I came across an article in business 2.0 on something called “Domaining”.

Where this “underground society”, were making hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars buying and monetizing or selling domain names. It was definitely an eye-catching proposition, and after another couple of weeks of research and number crunching I bought my first Domain.

But isn’t it just the way, that things are never as simple as “they” tell you that they are?

I’ll spare you the gory details, but the short story is that it took me 24 months to get back the $2,500 that I had spent on Domains in the first three weeks. This was hardly the turnover rate that I was looking for, but I did learn one valuable lesson; and that was gaining a sense of the sheer traffic on the Internet and the realization that if there was just some way to harness it that I could start making some real money.

It was just about then that I learned about AdSense sites from Joel Comm’s ebook “AdSense Secrets”. At the same time I was researching affiliate sites and the opportunities they presented for real income – or what was advertised as real income. Of course the small amount of commissions from my affiliates’ sites proved that once again, I hadn’t really gotten anywhere.

But you know what they say; everything happens for a reason. And what I’ve discovered about the Internet, what I have learned about Internet traffic and the pros and cons of different sales opportunities is what has created Monetized Clicks LLC.
