I have been self employed since I was 20.
I started when I bought a franchise for a Carvel Ice Cream store in 1978.
After four years I was asked to sit on the Board of Governors of Carvel Corporation. (I stayed seven years.) In 1989 I sold my store and resigned from the Board.
I was bitten by the stock market fever of the 90′s and traded stocks for several years.
Until I opened a restaurant in mid town Manhattan.
Twelve years later in 2007 I sold the restaurant and began looking around for my next venture.
I guess you could say I’m a serial entrepreneur.
I knew what characteristics I was looking for and which ones I didn’t want in my next business.
I didn’t want to pay high overhead anymore, at $200 a sq. ft. plus taxes in midtown I had enough of that. I didn’t want high labor cost or low margin products or have geographic limitations.
I wanted it to be scalable. I wanted it to be in an industry that was experiencing a growth curve.
I didn’t want to have to rely on the amount of time I can work. For one man or women could only work 60 or 80 hours a week at most and that limits the amount of money I could make.
I started thinking about EBay and what product would sell well and could be drop shipped.
I always liked technology anyway. Off I went doing my research to see what it was all about and what the potential was. I looked at drop shippers, jewelry etc.
It seemed to me that the vast majorities were not making substantial sums of money.
Also you really had to put a lot of time in behind the seen to run a store or auction right.
That meant it was less scalable than I was looking for.
While continuing to do research online.
I came across an article in business 2.0 on something called “Domaining”. Where this underground society, were making hundreds of thousand if not millions of dollars buying and monetizing or sell domain names.
Now this got my attention.
After another couple of weeks of research and number crunching.
I bought my first Domain.
That when I started my education. It seems things aren’t as simple as they tell you they are. Sparing you the details. It will take me 24 months to make back the $2,500 I spent on Domains the first three weeks. Most of the revenue is generated by two of my domains.
Not a great return on my investment or my time. But it did give me a sense of the sheer traffic on the Internet and if I could figure it out how to harness it. I believed there was real money to be made.
I learned about Adsense sites from Joel Comm’s ebook “Adsense secrets”. At the same time I was researching affiliate sites and the opportunities they presented for real income.
I got to work once again learning how to build Adsense sites and joining affiliate sites. I was sure I would begin to move forward with my business. I waited and watched each click each pre enrollee sign up. But other then the trickle of income from Adsense and the small amount commissions from my affiliates sites. I hadn’t really gotten anywhere.
What I had succeeded at was to get tons of emails daily from my up line affiliates telling me to get in on the next call or whatever cheer leading session coming up. They never told me how to make money other than that I had to send my traffic to my sign up page.
Well I’m here to make a Difference.

- High margin products.
- No geographic limitation. I could market to the world right from my office.
- It is totally scalable.
Talk about a growth curve:
- The ever increasing ad dollars being spent on the Internet.
- The volume of product being sold
- The Number of people using the Internet and time spent online is exploding every day.
Lastly. I would rather make 1% from 1000 peoples effort that 100% from my own.
